Printing Industry

In almost every field of the printing industry, machine tapes can convey, fold, or package printed or unprinted paper.

All along, Monty has been a development partner of the paper, printing, and packaging industries, and of machine manufacturers and users, and has won a certain reputation.

In this industry, Monty machine tapes and conveyor belts are the products of choice for almost all functions and processes.

By using the brand-new Monty E Series machine tapes, the quality and production capacity potential of repeatedly proven equipment can be brought into full play. The highly modular thermoplastic tension member uses polyester fabric, combined with a highly wear-resistant surface, enabling a wide range of applications in the packaging field, from feeders to the most diverse equipment.

For the special requirements of different printing processes and all types of post-press processing, Monty provides solutions: Commercial web offset / heatset ink printing (folders). Only by using folding tapes with special tension members can a web speed of 18 m/s be achieved.

The most diverse paper types must be conveyed through the folder precisely and reliably, while the belt must have a long service life.

The E Series, with its tension member using a polyester-based fabric, can meet these requirements without reducing edge stability or lateral tear resistance.

Sheet-fed offset presses (feeding, folding). The exact feeding of paper loaded into the printer is decisive for the continuous production of offset printing.

In addition to the belts with elastomer coatings usually used for feeders, more alternative products with fabric, polyurethane, or soft polyamide surfaces are available.

The E Series has optimal load/elongation and is unaffected by environmental conditions, so no re-tensioning is required after long periods of operation.

— Web gravure printing: folders and pasters. For paper that has just been printed, folding requires the belt conveying to maintain precision and gentleness, leaving no marks in any aspect of the folder — especially in the cutting section.

The advantage of using the E Series tension member in combination with a polyester nonwoven coating is that it can meet the requirements of double-width folders and minimize smudging.

The abrasive characteristics of printed newspapers require the belts in folders to have highly wear-resistant surfaces. Bonded or impregnated surfaces can prevent ink smudging, and service life is also increased.
